Podcast Episode 84 – Steak & BJ Day

March 15th, 2010 by

So as well as being Mother’s Day it’s Steak & BJ Day, although it’s probably best that the two are not combined!

What have we been playing?

Matt discusses his early impressions of Heavy Rain and reveals an unhealthy obsession with toilets. ‘Block Rocking’ with Lego Rock Band, Dante’s Inferno and Blur Beta impressions. Daren explores handheld horror with Silent Hill Origins and loses himself in Yakuza 3.

This weeks news topics

Sony’s PlayStation Move is unveiled at the Games Developers Conference, Sam & Max Season 3 and The Secret of Monkey Island 2: Special Edition are announced. Codemasters bring F1 to consoles and Lara Croft gets a reboot, of sorts. OnLive is dated for the US and Harmonix ‘double whammy’ us with a release date for Green Day: Rock Band and officially announcing Rock Band 3, which sends our hosts spiralling into a speculative brainstorming session around how awesome it could be.

Also this week’s show features a special interview with Ste Curran, host of gaming podcast One Life Left, and Creative Director of Zoe Mode, producers of the charity XBLA title Chime.

The usual suspects: Retail Roundup, New Releases, DLC and more great community contribution for the Twitter Section.
