About Us

Midlife Gamer continues to be one of the most rapidly growing video game sites in Britain, with ever increasing site traffic numbers, Social Media Followers and podcast listenership year on year. With more fans comes an even greater hunger for new material, which is why Midlife Gamer are currently looking for new writers and streamers to join the team.

What Are We Looking For, What Can You Expect?

Quality writers with an eye for detail and a nose for a story. We can be as flexible as you are in terms of quantity of output expected, plus you’ll have access to review code when available, industry only information and the opportunity to cover press events, plus a large readership of friendly and diverse gamers.

Video bloggers who can produce video content that is informative but most importantly fun. You’ll also have access to review code when available and industry only information with the opportunity to cover press events plus you will also get the love from our friendly and diverse community.

However, it is not possible to receive all of the good stuff above without providing news pieces for the site – without coverage of the games building a following within our community, there isn’t review code sent to writers of gaming sites – it is very rare that you get one without the other, even if you are IGN or Eurogamer. So what are we looking for?

Every writer/streamer will have a set quota of articles to be achieved in the previous month before they are offered review code.  Any gaming related news or pieces of interest, original opinion pieces, original feature articles, reviews and taking a simple press release and rewriting it into a new news or trailer article will all count towards this quota.

How Do You Apply?

Easy, drop our Editor, Si Stevens, an email via by clicking this link right here with examples of your work or a link to recent video content,  and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
