The Trade In Detectives

September 4th, 2013 by

Trade In Detectives LogoWith just over 100 days Christmas and the next gen consoles just around the corner, money is getting a little thin on the ground. People are also getting a little reluctant to buy games at this point, worried that with all the new shininess just around the corner anything picked up now may have a limited lifespan.

But what if there’s a new game that you can’t resist but really can’t afford? That’s when you start to think about trading in your existing collection. Most of us are sat upon a veritable goldmine of games that haven’t seen the disc drives of our Xboxes and Playstation 3s for months, if not years.

Once you’ve pulled out a stack of long-forgotten discs the question is ‘where I am going to get the best value for these?’ That’s where the Trade In Detectives come into play.

Trade In Detectives take the legwork out of you searching around the various retailers for the best value for your unwanted games. You’ll need to register on the site to get access to the full roster of companies but it’s well worth doing as there can be a vast difference between the shops that’ll buy your games.

For example; Say you’ve finished The Last Of Us and don’t fancy fighting the Clickers again in another play through, a search on the Trade In Detectives shows that while you’d only get £9.80 from We Buy DVDs, you could instead get £23 from CEX, a whopping 234% increase!

So if you’ve got stack of games that you’re not playing and could do with a few more pennies, get over to Trade In Detectives and see what you can get for them.
