Saints Row IV – Hail to the Chief

July 25th, 2013 by

Saints Row 4 Presedentail sealThe hype train for the soon to be released Saints Row IV continues to build. For those who can’t wait for the August 23rd release date Deep Silver have released the third video in the ‘Hail To The Chief’ series, with this one being a glimpse at the Abduction Gun.

For anyone who’s struggled to find a parking space in town this beauty would have been a godsend!

It’s good to see Volition keeping the huge open world of Steelport as gloriously over the top in Saints Row IV as it has been in the previous games, with your Presidential protagonist being handed a ludicrously fun selection of weaponry and vehicles such as the already announced dubstep gun.

If this little teaser of what’s in store has whetted your appetite enough, you may also be interested in the just announced season pass, which for a one off fee of £7.99 (or 9,99 EUR) gives you access to two brand new mission packs. On top of this you’ll also get your hands on a season pass exclusive weapon, ‘The Rectifier’, which is, of course, an anal probe, the thought of which will strike fear inside your enemies. Deep inside.

Interestingly, the season pass will also include a Director’s Cut of the upcoming “Enter The Dominatrix” DLC, which is being described as “a tongue-in-cheek vision of what this content was originally going to be like” and, as revealed by Volition at Comic Con, will have the game’s characters explaining why the content was cut.

The seasons pass is available for all platforms and will save you a few pounds over buying the the DLC separately, with the total value being around £12.  Saints Row IV hits the shelves 23rd August this year.

Loved Saints Row III, but I will be holding off for GTA V. Great article.

Other way round for me, GTA has always been too dry for me, I just love the insanity of Saint’s Row
