Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Gameplay

April 29th, 2012 by

Its hard to believe that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. Especially when you consider that this was to be the swan song of the studio then known as Square. Hence the title Final Fantasy.

To celebrate Square-Enix are releasing Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. A rhythm based action RPG that celebrates the music of the franchise from 1987 to now.

This is an entirely new spin on the franchise and one that I personally cannot wait to experience.

Check out the trailer which confirms a European release this summer.

I love the idea of this game. Definitely on my want list – I have Uematsu albums on my iphone. I do hope it doesn’t have any FFXIII-2 ‘music’ though cos it’s the pits. What they did to the Chocobo tune… Oh, and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_VBaQrHP6o&feature=related – this is not Final Fantasy music!
