PC Indie Adventure Game Richard & Alice Announced

April 5th, 2012 by

Yesterday games journalists Lewis Denby and Ashton Raze announced development of PC indie game, Richard & Alice, an adventure game due for release later this year.

Set in a world of disorder resulting from unexpectedly extreme weather conditions, you take the role of Richard, an inmate of one of this world’s luxurious but overcrowded prisons. Through a series of flashback sequences, you’ll also step into the boots of Alice, a new arrival to Richard’s huge cell.

As the story unfolds you’ll learn more about the mysterious Alice and work out what’s really going on in the outside world.

Written and developed by Lewis Denby, and co-designed by Denby and Ashton Raze, Richard & Alice sees two games journalists and adventure fans team up to make the sort of point-and-click game they love playing: one where the puzzles provide pacing to the storytelling, rather than acting as a stubborn distraction.

The game, developed as part of Denby’s Gamethunks brand, will also feature character art from freelance game artist Kyra Hills, and an original soundtrack by Yonatan Luria.
