Battleship – Designing the Game Trailer

April 22nd, 2012 by

Activision have release a new trailer/dev diary that discusses part of the process behind creating the new Battleship game based on the movie, which was released this Friday.

Check out the trailer below.

Battleship thrusts you headlong into an Earth facing an unknown aquatic alien menace. As Cole Mathis, the U.S. Naval fleet’s ‘Boots on the Ground’, you must prove yourself worthy as an elite soldier and help defeat this strange, new enemy.

Acting  as a side story to the film, FPS puts you at the forefront of an extreme alien attack. Facing hazards across land, sea, and air.

In-between battling on the Hawaiian shores you’ll take real-time control of naval units as you strategise a map-wide plan of attack by directing your fleet to launch air strikes, conduct radar sweeps, and engage in ship-to-ship sea conflicts.
