Gears of War 3′s Forces of Nature DLC Pack Will be Available on March 27th

March 5th, 2012 by

The last DLC pack in the Season Pass for Gears of War 3, Forces of Nature, will be available to download on March 27th.

The Forces of Nature DLC will feature five maps, all with a shared theme of strong weather activity.

Aftermath is set in a government park that was struck by a tsunami.

Artillery is a former COG missile silo where players fight on the edge of a persistent storm.

Cove is a stranded seaside port that is regularly blanketed by fog.

The two remakes are of Raven Down from the first Gears of War and Gears of War 2′s Jacinto, both now featuring high levels of dangerous emulsion and Lambent stalks.

Forces of Nature will also feature four new characters, three of which – Commando Dom, Mechanic Baird and Savage Grenadier Elite – are based on pre-order bonuses but with unique colours, and are branded as Limited Edition. The new character will be the Savage Hunter.

There will also be seven new weapon skins.

Finally, Gears of War 2′s mode, Guardian, which was the basis for the Capture the Leader mode, will make a comeback.

Finally an all important 250 extra Gamerscore will be available in achievements.

I’m really surprised that “Avalanche” from Gears 2 wasn’t included in this since there all focused around weather effects.
