In a translated interview with French site Le Point, Cardon tried to quell anxiety over the Vita’s lackluster sales in Japan by pointing to its lack of Japanese focused release software. One title in particular came up, Monster Hunter.
Cordan said. “The games available at launch in Japan do not correspond to the typology of the Japanese public. It lacks a particular game, Monster Hunter, scheduled for the coming months,”
He went on to say.“Had it been there from the start in Japan, the story would have been different.”
Capcom and Sony have yet to release a statement on this story or anything regarding a Monster Hunter title for the new handheld, but with the series’ popularity so high it’s looking like no-brainer.
