You may have noticed that the first DLC pack for Gears of War 3 has not turned up on the Xbox Live Dashboard this morning. Well to our dismay Epic Games have announced that the Horde Command Pack will be temporarily delayed.
The official forum announced last night the follow:
“The scheduled Horde Command Pack release for Gears of War 3 is temporarily delayed due to a technical issue. We apologize to those of you who are anxiously awaiting to play. We know this is disappointing news as we’ve seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content. We have folks working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack.
The Epic Games Community team will stick around and keep you posted with any further information. Stay tuned for updates!”
The DLC was scheduled for release today and will feature three new maps: Blood Drive (a returning Horde favourite), Rustlung (set on a decommissioned battleship) and Azura (a beautiful island resort). There will also be four new fortification upgrades for Horde mode: the Command Center, Decoy Upgrade, Sentry Upgrade and Silverback Upgrade, some new characters: Onyx Guard, Big Rig Dizzy and Bernie, as well as two new weapon skins in the form of the Jungle Camo and Team Plasma. Additionally the Horde Command center maps will also be playable in Beast mode.
Whilst we wait for the DLC to be fixed and released, check out these screenshots of the new maps.
