The Controller – A Video Games Reality Show

October 22nd, 2011 by

Gamespot and CBS have this week announced that they are to show a videogame based reality show on the Gamespot youtube channel.

The premise centres around six “Pro” gamers being invited to take part in a Battlefield 3 competition for $50,000, the twist however is that the “Pro’s” will not be able to touch a controller during this competition, they must instead pair up & train a complete Noob, who will compete on their behalf.

The series, starting on Monday 21st October, will be split into eight mini webisodes, and will feature the “pros” and their noobs taking part in a number of challenges on and off the battlefield, before being whittled down to a final two teams who will compete for the $50,000 prize.

This sounds like it could be hilarious…
”Right, now cook the grenade and throw, throw, THROW!’
‘Um, which button is fire again?’
