The R2-D2 Xbox Mod

March 18th, 2011 by

Like Star Wars?
Like Droids?
Like Xbox 360?
Want all of that on one neat little package?

This could be the droid you’re looking for.

Take a look at this latest creation from Mark Bongo of Major League Mods. Embedded within the guts of a model R2-D2 Unit he has managed to replace Kenny Baker with an Xbox 360 Console. Taking two weeks to complete the mod, it features a speaker built into the dome and most incredibly an integrated Projector that spits images from Atoo’s head lens which is capable of projecting images up to 50”.

This is the third time this has red-ringed, I'm getting a PS-C3PO now.

The disc tray extends from your favourite droids chest while you can find the 360 standard power on button below at the front.
It also features HDMI and composite input so you can hook up all many of external devices. UBS slots and output for speakers are also packed in this unit.

An incredible feat of engineering and invention, I’m sure any Jawa worth his salt would love to get their hands on one of these.

If you want one, Mark is offering them for a hyperspace busting $2,500.
