Shadows of the Damned Detailed

September 15th, 2010 by

Grasshopper Manufacture, led by the wonderful Goichi Suda (or Suda 51 to you and I), are busy bees. We recently reported they’re teaming up with Digital Reality to co-develop a number of games for XBLA, PSN and Steam, but now they’re ready to move into the land of psychological thriller with Shadows of the Damned, published by EA.

You might know Grasshopper best for the quirky and outrageous No More Heroes series, a tongue-in-cheek nod to modern culture, but Shadows of the Damned is as different a stride they could take, with Creative Producer Shinji Mikami (director of Resident Evil) explaining how “gamers will fight for love in the most difficult arena imaginable … hell. They’ll find themselves surrounded by demons set on destroying their heart and soul. Only the strong will survive.” Shadows of the Damned also boasts the talents of Silent Hill sound director Akira Yomaoka composing the score.

Shadows of the Damned will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 in the summer of 2011. Visit www.shadowsofthedamned.com for more information.
