Curve Studios’ Explodemon Trailer

September 24th, 2010 by

The first self-published title for London-based independent developer Curve Studios, Explodemon, is a delightful little ode to the creative works of 2D SNES platformer’s wrapped in modern puzzle design and infused with colourful cel-shaded visuals. The trailer, below, shows off some fantastic looking footage with all the sensibilities of classic titles (the funky music, charming visuals, 2D-plain) with some neat visual tricks and explosive action.

Hopefully Curve Studios can deliver on their promises of “combo-laden combat” that mixes with the frenetic aerial play. But if the trailer shows any signs of what is to come, then we can expect good things.
