Sony Showcasing Triple-A Titles At Eurogamer Expo

July 14th, 2010 by

I know many of us here at Midlife Gamer are planning to get to Earl’s Court this October for the Eurogamer Expo, but up until now we’ve heard little of what to expect from the show, which now becomes a little clearer (and a whole lot more exciting!)

Eurogamer has recently confirmed the titles that are due to be shown by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) at this year’s event including the likes of Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet 2 and Infamous 2, as well as 3D showcasings of the much awaited but influential racing title Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 3 and Motorstorm: Apocalypse. Furthermore, Sony will be keen in demonstrating the Move controller to those at the show; SOCOM: Special Forces, The Fight, Sports Champions, The Shoot and integration into Heavy Rain have all been announced to be playable.

Rupert Loman, Managing Director at Eurogamer, enthuses “we are offering gamers a hands-on experience with some of the most anticipated releases for 2010 and 2011, [this will be] a huge draw for consumers and confirm the Eurogamer Expo as the most important destination for UK gamers.” And if all that wasn’t enough, SCEE have incredibly outlined three developer sessions for the show, including that with Media Molecule (LBP2), Guerilla Games (Killzone 3) and Evolution Studios (Motorstorm: Apocalypse).

The expo seems to grow exponentially each year, with these titles only contributing to a small proportion of what we can expect to see, we’ll keep you up-to-date with what’s expected at the show. Potentially more exciting however is that this signals a significant push towards a massive UK-based gaming event in the vein of E3, and that, is amazing.

The Eurogamer Expo 2010 is located at Earl’s Court , London through October 1st-3rd 2010.
