More Artists Confirmed For Def Jam Rapstar

July 8th, 2010 by

Yo, yo, yo and all that. Music games come along more often than they perhaps ought to, what with Singstar, We Sing and Lips all present and accounted for already in terms of sequels for their respective systems. However, never before have we had a game revolved around rap and hip hop exclusively – something Def Jam Rapstar can boast to being the first to try, coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

Whether you blast out lyrics to any of the artists that have now been confirmed by 4mm Games, Terminal Reality and Def Jam Interactive (from Ludacris, RUN DMC, Chipmunk and LL Cool J), or rap over exclusive tracks created by producers Cool & Dre and DJ Khalil to create your own tracks, Def Jam looks to build on the success created by the aforementioned titles and bring the games into a whole new genre of music. Whether the audience is big enough to make such a game a successful venture is another matter entirely, however. We’ll see this November.

Def Jam Rapstar is released on the 5th November 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
