Trailer-Gasm! E3 Nintendo

June 28th, 2010 by

You wait two weeks for a new Trailer-Gasm! and then two come along in quick succession, the Trailer-Gasm! tour pulls in for its Nintendo leg of the journey and has plenty of gaming goodness for you to enjoy, so lets get to it…

Kicking off the Nintendo festivities is the 16th iteration of one of Nintendo’s best known franchises and the first to be released exclusively on the Wii, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword brings Link back into the heart of the home with a brand new adventure. Swinging up on Zelda’s coat tails is a welcome return for one of Nintendo’s perennial favourites with Donkey Kong Country Returns, bringing both Donkey and Diddy Kong back to our screens.

Nintendo’s big game announcements all revolved around their big franchises and this doesn’t stop with Zelda and Donkey Kong as they also revisit an old character with the sumptuously designed Kirby’s Epic Yarn and bring all of the Mario favourites together again with Mario Sports Mix.

You may have also heard about a new piece of kit that Nintendo were announcing, improving on one of the biggest selling consoles of all time, the Nintendo 3DS was announced with improved graphics, multimedia capabilities and not to mention a 3.5inch full 3D screen, look out for more information in a future E3 special. The final video today was announced for this new console and is one of the few franchises yet to be revamped onto the next gen, until now, Kid Icarus Uprising.

And here we are again, another episode finished and yet still more to come, look out for the news coming soon of what Sony had to offer, so enjoy your Trailer-Gasm! and look out for the next stop on the Trailer-Gasm! E3 tour.
