Ant Games today announced their entry into the industry as a worldwide publisher.
With plans to publish across all formats and not concentrating on specific genres, the studio is headed by games industry veteran and former UK Managing Director of the hugely successful publisher Microprose Stewart Bell. Bell explains “We’ve lined up an eclectic and varied range of titles. We will publish and distribute at retail and through digital channels”. He hints towards an extremely bright start for the company with “a few exciting and surprising titles” coming up – Ant Games have already signed deals to distribute Icarus Studios’ award-winning MMO Fallen Earth and a series of four titles from JW Stealey’s (co- founder of Microprose, along with Sid Meier) Thriller New Media Partners. The first being Warbirds: Dogfights which allows players to pilot over 100 historically accurate aircraft in thrilling combat missions.
It’s an exciting time for the studio in releasing its first set of titles and we’re looking forward to seeing what’s next from the team.
