We return this week with a special look at what games EA have lined up for us in the coming year as we take a look at some trailers and developer videos from the recent EA Showcase in London.
Lined up we have a wide variety of games, from brand new titles to sequels, prequels and reboots as well, so lets take a look at what EA have in store…
First up we have a look at a brand new MMO which claims to allow unparalleled customisation, ABP (All Points Bulletin) , this new title is from the creators of the GTA and Crackdown series and they have described it as “the bastard child of everything we’ve been striving towards over the 15-20 years”.
Next up is the latest brutal trailer from the guys at People Can Fly and Epic Games, Bulletstorm, due out in 2011, this new IP promises the opportunity to play as a drunken space pirate (have three better words ever been uttered!). If you have just come down off your space pirating high, we are sticking with outer space with a look at the sequel to a 2008 hit with Dead Space 2.
So thats two games set in space now… not enough? okay then well maybe a look at the new Star Wars game Star Wars: The Old Republic will quench your intergalactic thirst. This game is set 300 years after the last Knights of the Old Republic title and ten years after a tentative peace agreement was form, but a peaceful Star Wars game would be no fun so of course that tentative peace agreement I imagine won’t last too long.
And to round things up we bring things back to familiar territory and a reboot with Medal of Honor, this new title is the first Medal of Honor game to move away from the backdrop of WWII and moves it to modern times and sets it in the current situation in Afghanistan.
And once again that’s all we have time for so keep an eye out for more Trailer-Gasm! coming your way soon!
