And here we are again with episode 6 of Trailer-Gasm! After making a mid-week trip to Bungie, we return with an episode packed with plenty of high definition pixilated goodness from across the gaming spectrum.
With the much publicised disintegration of the Activision / Infinity Ward relationship, many have feared for the future of the Call of Duty franchise, but whilst older brother Infinity Ward may have garnered all the plaudits for the Modern Warfare titles, little brother Treyarch have been quietly going about their business producing very successful Call of Duty titles of their own (Call of Duty: World at War sold over 11 million copies) and by the looks of the latest teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops, perhaps its time for Treyarch to step out of the shadow and establish itself as the leading developer in the first person genre…
We’ve all heard Matt and Daren discussing the pros and cons of the Ubisoft UPlay points system, and if you’re anything like me you’ve been sitting there smiling and nodding, not really understanding what was going on. Well no more! Next is a guide to using UPlay with the recent release Splinter Cell: Conviction which shows you just what all the fuss is about.
Following that is a video for Plants Vs Zombies HD, this trailer shows the game being played on a new Apple iPad which utilises its multi-touch capabilities. Whereas the games on the iPad, iPhone and iPod may not be able to currently match the graphical heights of its console brethren, its having a damn good go at establishing itself as a gaming platform to be reckoned with.
Speeding up right behind the plants and zombies is the latest developer diary for the latest racing simulation title F1 2010, this video takes a look at the handling for the cars and their attempts to achieve as much realism as possible.
And finally rounding things up following on from our mid-week visit is the fantastic live action teaser trailer for the eagerly awaited Halo Reach, this trailer is titled ‘Birth of a Spartan’ and if that doesn’t make you want to watch it then clearly you haven’t played Halo before!
And that’s it for another week, Trailer-Gasm! will be back next week with another episode, so until then Goodbye!
