Hello everyone

I used to listen to midlife gamer religiously a couple of years ago but then my daughter was born.  Now she's a bit older i have a couple of minutes to spare for gaming so i'm back.

I'm celebrating a big birthday this year, i live in the 3rd circle of hell (nuneaton) with my wife and 2 year old daughter Millie.

At the moment i am mostly playing Destiny Alpha, Wolfenstein and watch dogs.  I have a ps3, ps4, xbox360, 3ds, pc and lots of old consoles in the attic.

Howdy and welcome to the MLG forums and community smile
Several consoles on the go and a haul of retro gear in the attic eh? You'll fit in perfectly around here!
As a dad with two kids a little older than yours I can honestly say that although it always remains a balancing act to fit a bit of gaming in it does seem to get easier. My eldest is just getting to the age where I can share my 'hobby' with him (much to my wife's chagrin) so it's Minecraft and MarioKart all the way here (and Final Fantasy XIV for Daddy when they've gone to bed)!

Right, questions need to be answered:

What's your favourite beverage and biscuit?
What's your preferred sauce on a bacon / sausage Sarnie?

Enquiring minds need to know… smile

Welcome (back) aboard the good ship Midlife Gamer, popandcrisps!

Another father here. Mine are getting to an age where they can entertain themselves now, so I thought I'd have more time to game. Nope, that just means there's more time for washing, cleaning and DIY!

Looking at your console selection, interesting to see your current gen platform of choice is the PS4…do you fancy picking up an Xbox ONE in the near future or is there nothing it has over the Sony machine that's making you want it?

I have hope that it gets easier, i can't imagine what it's like with two.

favourite biscuit at the minute is rich tea, and it's red sauce for bacon and brown for sausage for me.

I would love an xbox one but i can't justify it at the moment and went with ps4 on launch because it was cheaper and i stupidly thought that drive club would be a launch title.  Saying that though i think i need a wii u next to introduce my daughter to gaming.
