I've just been perusing through my old PS1 and PS2 games when I spotted a game that I thought would be fantastic if they remade it.
The game in question is Return Fire for which the rules were simple, capture the other player's flag and transport it back to your bunker. Your bunker consisted of 4 types of vehicles, 3 helicopters, 3 jeeps, 3 tanks and 3 heavily armored vehicles. Only jeeps could carry the flag and had no armor and only the HAV's could lay mines. Only one vehicle could be deployed at a time and once it was destroyed it could not be replaced. If a damaged vehicle was returned to your bunker it was repaired.
The game played in split screen isometric view and the whole soundtrack was classical music which complimented the action perfectly. Although there was a single player mode, the game was designed with multiplayer in mind.
The only other game that has got my adrenalin flowing as much Return Fire is DayZ.
That is my choice, what is yours?

Ep 96: Biddy Fiddler
I would really love to see a new X-Wing game. I had it and all the sequels on PC and loved it. I even had a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick that was perfect for those type of flight sim/space combat games.

I would have liked to have played that Full Throttle sequel Lucas Arts was working on, but I fear it would have sucked on account of that being the transition period between 2D games and polygonal games.

Ep 87: Heavy Wayne
I still hold out the slimmest of hopes that there'll be a a Timesplitters 4. I'd love to see that, I really would. Come to think of it, I'd settle for a HDed-up Timesplitters 3. That game had more fun than you could shake a stick at, what with the zillion multiplayer modes.

Ep 87: Heavy Wayne
G-Police would be good to see in an updated version; this time as a full sandbox flying vehicle game.

Ep 93: Electric Boogaloo
If they made a proper remake of Syndicate Wars from the PS1 (and not the recent FPS Syndicate title).

The People's Republic of Liverpool
Ep 97: Sunbed Hero
A proper reboot of System Shock would be ace (although Bioshock has pretty much done this…)
A remake of Syndicate/Syndicate Wars would make me giddy with excitement
I'm also considering buying a new PC that can run the upcoming Elite game…

Ep 54: To Me, To You!
@BelgianExileSpeedball 2: Tournament was OK. Can't buy it now though.
I'd love to see Carrier Command (Bohemian tried but didn't manage it) or "Sentinal" Great game. I think the IP is Sony as the last one was published by Psygnosis.

Ep 64: Hippo's Yawn
It's not really retro (when does a game become retro anyway) but I'd love to see a reboot of the Crimson Skies games. I still have both the original PC game and the original Xbox one – love them both dearly.
PSN ID: Vimesy74
Current games of choice: Battlefield 4 & Hearthstone.

Another vote for Timesplitters here!
Unirally was a favourite back in the day on the SNES.
