Midlife Gamer Community Awards 2017 – Most Anticipated Title(s)

March 6th, 2017 by

MLG Awards 1 BAWhen the votes were counted it came at little surprise that the two titles the community are most excited for were neck and neck; Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass:Effect Andromeda topped the charts.

Red Dead Redemption 2

We’ve not seen much of Red Dead Redemption 2 yet bar a short teaser trailer, but that alone was enough to give many of you a twinge in your bikini area. Last gens’ RDR was one of the undoubted gems and will be difficult to follow on from, but who’d bet against Rockstar managing to pull it out of the bag? I’m hoping to see them build on the success of GTA Online too.

Mass Effect A 001

We’ve not got long to wait for Mass Effect: Andromeda, currently scheduled for 21st March and coincidentally gone gold as I type this piece. It’s been 5 years since Shepard’s trilogy ended with a collective outpouring of whinging about the ending, and I for one have been aching to explore the universe again. Preview footage has shown beautiful alien worlds, a diverse range of characters and the return of some old favourites too.
(p.s. There is absolutely zero chance that RDR2 is coming out this year, you fools.)
