Evolution of PlayStation Plus

June 30th, 2015 by

With the 5 year anniversary upon us, we have to wonder, what have Sony got in store for us?

With each anniversary, Sony has announced new changes to how and what they offer under the PS+ umbrella.

In 2011 we saw the IGC added, 2012 had the inclusion of Vita, 2013 saw the addition of PS4 titles, and 2014 gave us the triple 2 format with 2 PS3/2 PS4/ and 2 PS Vita each month.

Could 2015, with the advent of Xbox’s backward compatibility be the year of PSNow?

Looking at the store is hopeful, as the catalogue has been expanded with modified download options on key PS3 titles.  Could we see Sony’s counter to Microsoft’s Backwards Compatability on the horizon?

PS3 titles are currently missing from the IGC on the store
