Midlife Gamer Community Awards 2014

October 31st, 2014 by

rp_Community-Content-200x200.jpgIt’s November and once again we approach the end of another gaming year.

With some big games, a few disappointing games, and many surprising games, after a slow start, 2014 has really picked up since the turn of summer and here at Midlife Gamer we want you to decide, as a community, which games truly shone as the gems of 2014.

We will tell you the categories, but there will be no lists of preselected games other than those you yourself put forward. That’s right, you will choose who wins directly.

So, how does it work?

Well we are going high tech this year and are using a combination of chewing gum, science and black magic. We have combined all three of these elements into a nice and neat URL for you to click on:

Midlife Gamer Community Awards 2014 Nominations Form

Only fully released titles qualify, and as such any Alpha/Beta code you may have selected will go in the honourable mention list along with those titles that don’t quite break into the top five.

The qualifying release date window for nominations will be 1st November 2013 – 30th November 2014 – The last major surge of titles are released on the 21st November; so that will give them a chance to be played and voted for as well.

Once the votes have been cast, we will assemble the staff to count the tally to see the ultimate winner. Each position between first and fifth will be allotted a point score as follows: 10 points for first, five points for second, three points for third, two points for fourth and one point for fifth place.

Once you see the nomination form you will see that we are goign big this year with 21 awards on top of the Game of The Year Award.

Voting closes at 23:59 on the 1st December 2014 and is open to all.

So, time to get your thinking caps on, and submit your nominations. Happy voting!!

I’ve done my job and cast my votes!
If You look the latest “What’s in the Box – Lords of the Fallen” then You know what my GOTY 2014 and worst/most disappoining is.

2014 as a year for gaming was very weak.
2015 will blow us away ;)

    Best regards

    “Democratic” Oli

  2. This will take me a while…. I’m so indecisive
