Revival Retro Event 2014

July 15th, 2014 by

RREImagine a video game museum with all your favourite gaming memories and systems laid out before you. Original machines over 30 years old, classic games being shown on 4:3 CRT TV’s, the sounds of 8bit and arcade classics filling the room, reminding you of a time and culture that is part of your imagine picking up the controller, sitting at the keyboard or grabbing the wheel of these classic retro titles and enjoying them once again for the first time in decades.

Welcome to the Revival Retro Event 2014. A wonderful collection of consoles, arcade & pinball machines and hundreds of titles for you to enjoy over the weekend of August 9th & 10th at Wolverhampton Race Course.

Could you tea-bag John Romero?

You’ll also get to meet some of our gaming heroes of the past who helped shape the industry with Q&A panels and maybe even enjoy a drink with them in the bar (yes, there is a bar too!).

Confirmed guests so far include a panel made up of those responsible for bringing us Crash and Zzap! Magazines, with cover artist Oliver Frey signing artwork.
Also in attendance, making his way all the way from across the pond is creator of the first person shooters Wolfenstein 3D, Quake and the legendary Doom, John Romero. You’ll even get the chance to take the co-founder of id Software on in a few deathmatches over the weekend!

So, cast those rose tinted spectacles aside, head to their website to find out more and get your tickets today. You can also check out their Facebook Page and follow the event team on twitter via @revivalrevents for all the latest news.

Let us know in the forums if you’re going so you can hook up with fellow Midlife Gamers.
