MLG Plays Monster Hunter Tri: Week 5

February 26th, 2011 by

Hello! I’m glad you’ve returned. I may seem somewhat upbeat this week rather than my usual grumpy self. Did I trip and crush my genitals in a strangely pleasant way? No no no, I save my CBT for the weekends (you really shouldn’t google CBT, it has nothing to do with mopeds or therapy). I am filled with vim and vigour because I was plagued by no technical difficulties this week. Everything from recording to uploading went without a hitch. The only noticable change is no Guernica this week, but the more the mac-daddy that is Killasaw stepped in at the drop of a hat.

Enjoy everyone, I can’t wait to do next week’s video, if you keep an eye on the MH thread on the forum, Oli knocked up a spoof for an intro, just as a joke. However his German efficiency knocked my feeble composition skills into a cocked hat. We simply must use it next week!

    Quit yanking my chain, man.
    You’re yanking my chain!

I’m just in a bit of a MH funk at the moment, it seemed like an awfully pointless grind up to HR40. It is not like I lack the skill, if you see this week I didn’t faint once, while my comrades swooned around me, despite me having inferior armour.
I suppose the argument could be made that I should take down monsters to aquire parts for advanced armour sets and the xp, but I feel this could be implemented in better ways.
For crivens sake, what is the point in taking down 20 advanced Rathians? Shits and Giggles would only explain 3 of these.

Dude, if you want Rathian+ armour hit the recruiting server. Search for high level Rathian and if you’re lucky some high level dudes will help you. They go down in a few minutes each!!!

Its funny ive neaver really felt like it was a grind at this point. Im still enjoying it as i just hit HR41. I think ive just been lucky up until now with not having to grind to much to gain parts. I’ve just been fighting Monsters with Randoms for the ‘Thrill of the Hunt’.

just Crafted my Rathian+ and i never really had to grind to make it. I think you just need to find your sweet spot again and you’ll be good to go :D
