Competition – F1 Online: The Game

December 3rd, 2012 by

Midlife Gamer have teamed up with Codemasters for a prize giveaway in conjunction with their free to play, browser based F1 racing title “F1 Online: The Game”.

Currently in the beta stage (full launch date to be announced), F1 Online: The Game, allows players to create your own team, including team name, car livery and helmet which you can then take into online competitions with up to 23 other racers.

It features RPG style levelling up as you race, manage and research developments at your Race HQ. Featuring numerous officially licensed teams and 19 official F1 tracks. There are also 15 custom race circuits set in various locations around the world.

The game and all of its features are completely free, but there is the option to purchase in game items to accelerate your progress if the urge takes you.

A planned ‘Friends List’ due to be released in the coming weeks, will allow you to instantly see which of your friends is online and head straight to a multiplayer online quick race.

This will also feature a friends list only leaderboard and allow you to compete against their ghost cars in Time Trial mode.

It’s a free registration to play the game and all it needs is for you to install the UNITY Web Player on your Windows PC, then you’re up and running.

Head from the pit lane straight to www.f1onlinethegame.com to start racing!

We’ve got a selection of swag up for grabs (including shoulder bag, mouse mat, T-shirt and lanyard), all you need to do to win is tell us what you would call your F1 Online: The Game race team.

Post up your answer in this thread and we’ll pick a winner or two.

Closing date for entries is Sunday 16th December 2012

My team would be called Noddy’s Car.

    Just imagine the commentary.

“And thats it, the 2013 Grand Prix has been won! In third is Ferrari, second is Lotus, and the winner for 2013 is…. Noddy’s Car!”

Yep, I’m going to have to go with Team Noddy’s Car.

I may have some ideas for the colour scheme….
